Personal Injury

No place like home

Whilst relaxing on your sofa watching TV, you do not expect your sofa to cause your skin to burn, severe redness, itching and blistering, and we are not talking about watching your favourite horror movie!

Last year Argos issued a recall notice for certain batches of the Pia and Bari ranges of furniture on sale in its stores due to Customers complaining of burning and sores when they sat on items from the range. Argos has formally written to its customers and has now withdrawn all the Pia and Bari range sofas from sale, recalling all sofas that had previously been sold.

Maxwell Hodge Solicitors have recently been contacted by a client who has suffered as a result of purchasing a Agros Sofa from the defected range, Graham Stonehouse, a Legal Executive for Maxwell Hodge who specialises in Personal Injury, is representing the client.

Graham comments, “ if you have purchased this furniture and suffered symptoms of an allergic skin reaction, I would advice you to contact a solicitor who specialises in person injury. No Win No Fee arrangement may be available depending on your case. Please also take into consideration if you have visited a relative or friend who have purchased the sofa, you could have been have suffered symtoms.”
